The Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) is a nationwide competitive examination in Bangladesh conducted by the Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC) for recruitment to the various Bangladesh Civil Service cadres. 39th BCS Circular 2018, Circular for Special BCS 2018 will be published at www.bpsc.gov.bd . Qualification for BCS:
A Master’s degree from any recognized university or a degree that requires at least 4 (four) years of education after passing Higher Secondary Certificate (H.S.C) Examination or equivalent. A candidate having more than one third division/class in his academic career shall not be eligible. If a candidate appeared at any examination that is threshold level for BCS examination she/he will be able to apply, provided that all written examination would have been completed by the deadline of submitting application.
Age Limit:
If the age of the candidates is below 21(Twenty one) and above 30(Thirty) on the first date of the month when the advertisement is circulated by the commission he/she will not be considered as worthy candidates of BCS examination. The maximum age limit of freedom fighters and their sons/daughters, disable candidate and BCS (Health) cadre candidates is 32(Thirty two). In case of BCS (General Education) BCS (Technical Education) and BCS(Health)the maximum age limit of tribal candidates is 32 (Thirty two).
40th BCS Circular and Application Process
Before starting the topic it should be noted that 39th BCS will be held only to recruit doctors in several government posts. As this will be a different type of BCS process, hence 40th BCS will not take that much time to be started. So it can be said that 40th BCS process including preliminary exam and written exam will be held within the first few months of 2018. 40th BCS Circular 2018
40th BCS Circular has not been published yet. However, according to the probable schedule 40thBCS circular will be published very soon, most probably in the first phase of 2018. We will inform you as soon as we get any official confirmation.
The 39th BCS will recruit of nearly 5000 doctors to fill up the vacant seats in government hospitals. However, 40th BCS will be started following the previous pattern as people will be finally selected for all the categories. In total, more than 2000 people will be selected and the categories are written below.

- Police
- Assistant Surgeon
- Education
- Assistant Dental Surgeon
40th BCS Application Process and Deadlines
40th BCS application date has not been announced yet. However, likewise the regular process the candidates will be given almost one month to send the applications. The applicant will have to follow the normal process to complete the application. The application should be via online. The form will have to be filled up with needed information and recently taken photographs. After that, it will have to be submitted and the application fee will have to be paid. The application fee can be paid by mobile SMS. The SMS format will be provided to you so that you can complete the application procedure on time for 40th BCS in 2018.

The first step of BCS exam is the preliminary exam. If you do well in the preliminary exam, only then you can be headed to the next phase of the exam. 40th BCS will also see Preliminary exam to start the whole procedure. 40th BCS Preliminary exam date has not been announced. However, we can discuss 40th BCS preliminary exam question pattern and marks distribution. 40th BCS Preliminary Exam will be MCQ based exam. 40th BCS Exam Marks Distribution and Syllabus
- Bangla Language and Literature: 38 marks
- Bangladesh Affairs: 30 marks
- Geography, Environment and Disaster Management: 10 marks
- English Language and Literature: 38 marks
- Computer and Information Technology: 14 marks
- Analytical Ability: 15 marks
- International Affairs: 20 marks
- Ethics and Good Governance: 10 marks
- General Knowledge: 15 marks
- Mathematics: 15 marks
Each candidate will have to pass the preliminary exams. Only shortlisted candidates will have the chance to appear for 40th BCS Written Exam which will be the next phase of exams.
40th BCS Exam Seat Plan
40th BCS exam will be held in different places of Bangladesh in several exam centers. 40th BCS seat plan will be announced few days before the exam and we will let you know about it.
40th BCS Written Exam
After the Preliminary Exam, there will be 40th BCS Written Exam held to finalize the candidates for 40th BCS Written Exam viva. The 40th BCS Written Exam date has not been declared yet. We will let you know as soon as any official information comes. As per as our assumption based on the previous year’s data, 40th BCS Written Exam will be a 3 hours ling exam and the syllabus of the exam will remain same as before. The exam will most probably carry 100 marks.
40th BCS Viva Exam
The final phase of recruitment of 40th BCS is Viva Exam. The candidates will be called for viva if they do well in the written exam as well. Those who do well in 40th BCS Viva Exam will be selected for the final recruitment.
